PAR stands for Parabolic Aluminized Reflector, PAR lamps are therefore nothing more than parabolic pressed glass reflector lamps. Their internally mirrored glass bulb acts as a reflector, as it directs the light and thus determines the beam angle. Different lamps therefore have different beam angles, ranging from very narrow (for spots) to wide-spread floods. This makes it possible to create a range of brilliant lighting effects, which is why the area of application is predominantly in the professional sector, for example in outdoor lighting for architecture, as well as for event technology in the form of stage or disco lights. But also the smaller PAR 20 and 30 housings are becoming more and more popular for decoration in stores or in the hobby area. Due to the lightweight aluminum housing and the well priced PAR lamps, these are therefore an ideal solution for both smaller and larger performances, for hobbyist solo entertainers and for large event organizers.
